Hey there, welcome back!
Last time around we were chatting about why it’s so important to print your photos, or risk losing them to the black hole known as ever changing technology. This time I’m going to show you where I print my own personal photos.
Like many of you out there, I adore using Instagram. It’s a fast way to take and share great looking pictures with friends and family.
But here’s my problem. I want a quick and easy way to print my Instagram pictures. CVS? Target? I mean, you could try, but from my own experience the quality is pretty terrible, and you still have to drive there to pick them up (which can end up in 3 trips when they screw it up, along with an hour plus wait at each visit while the find the tech who will inevitably be on break – true life).
So what is my solution?
They allow you to print a variety of different sizes, have amazing print quality, and deliver right to your door.
(oh, and they frequently run awesome promos, letting you to print your pictures for a fraction of the normal cost!)
One of my favorite things, though, is that you can sync your Instagram account to Persnickety Prints, and simply click which ones you want to print. It saves me so much time having to save and email myself all of the pictures I want from my phone, and then, upload and save them to my computer.
I’m working on a new gallery wall over our office area, and I wanted to print out a bunch of my instagram photos to add to the wall. The whole process was a total breeze. I logged in, synced my instagram account to Persnickety prints, and then just clicked on the pictures I wanted to print.
Then I clicked on the sizes I wanted.
I wanted to see how both the photographic paper and the press print paper printed, so I got some in the 4×4 photographic print, and some in the 3×3 press print with the 1/8 inch boarder. I also printed a variety of color, black and white, DSLR (my “big camera”) and cell phone images to make sure I got a good idea of the quality.
Here are the 3×3 press print pictures:
And the 4×4 photographic print paper:
Here is a comparison of the 2 sizes:
The quality is amazing and very true to color (which is a BIG deal if you print pictures of your family, only to find out they look an odd shade of green.. check out this article on that one!)
Another bonus is that Persnickety prints specifically prints Project Life sized/shaped photos (more on this later!) which saves you the hassle of printing out 4×6 prints and then having to cut them in half.
Overall, I am thrilled with Persnickety Prints and will continue to use them to print my own personal photos**!
Check back next week for an update on how I store, show, and share my photos!
**Whenever I print your images however, I only use Miller’s Lab – a professional lab that prints on the highest quality, archival paper. Your images will be safe for years to come!**
**Also good to note, this is by no means a sponsored post. These are simply my own opinions. I did not receive any compensation or products in exchange for this review. They don’t even know I wrote it!**
