When this family contacted me for their annual photos I was thrilled that they wanted to do their family photos on Santa Monica Beach. This was my third year taking their holiday photos, and I loved every single second of it!
We had the dreamiest light for this family session. The jetty on the beach helped to filter out some of the light leaving us with a soft glow that was perfect!
One of my favorite things about yearly family photos is getting to watch each family grow and change over the years. It really is a huge honor to be a part of their legacy!
During family sessions, I always make sure to get the traditional family portrait, but in between some of the more posed images (and even those are infused with fun!), it’s time to play! I love the candid moments that happen just after the pose when everyone relaxes and just gets to be themselves!
It was a joy to watch this family spend time together. They truly love and enjoy being with each other! The girls had great personalities and were full of giggles!
I also loved the color palette that they chose for their outfits. The pastel colors made for a light, airy look and the pop of pink from Mom’s dress and helped them stand out from the background.
This was one of the most fun, relaxed family sessions that I’ve had to date! Everyone was excited to have their family photos on the Santa Monica Beach, and it showed in their images!
When you have the perfect combination of sweet clients, a gorgeous place to shoot, and the best lighting, you are sure to have a stunning gallery to deliver! I will say it forever, but I am so grateful for such amazing clients!
